Cibado is a leather goods company located in the mountains and valleys of Western Colorado.
Cibado started in 2008 as a two woman enterprise. An instant connection when meeting, it did not take long to realize that we had a shared aesthetic, a love for design & an obsessive interest with details & age old hand work techniques.
Both of us originally from big cities with art and apparel backgrounds we worked with Buffalo leather for three years
designing & sewing for a leather furniture company.
Over this time we developed our vision, honed our craft and sometimes lost our minds ............................eventually creating
Today Cibado is a one woman venture. Out of a small studio in Glenwood Springs, Colorado - I design, cut and mostly hand sew Buffalo leather into one-of-a-kind bags.
I am dedicated to crafting a meticulously stitched, quality constructed & functional product with the intent to last.
In the design of a Cibado bag a modern aesthetic meets with influences of the American West - having been inspired by the surrounding land, antique horse tack and hardware, sourced locally, are incorporated into the bags making each one of them truly one-of-a-kind.
